Selections in Honoring Women's Rights

Hello All!

I have the above two pieces (from my Hunters and the Hunted series)  included in the upcoming conference and juried art exhibition, Honoring Women''s Rights, at the Steinbeck Museum in Salinas, CA. This is a wonderful way to network and help support women in the arts.

Dates of Conference: Sept. 7th - 9th

Art Exhibition
Opening: September 8th, 6:00 - 9:00pm
Exhibit shows thru Jan. 6th, 2013

About the Conference
"Late this summer, women advocates, artists, art historians, curators, and educators are coming from all over the country to the National Steinbeck Center in the Monterey Bay Area for our Pacific Regional Honoring Women's Rights conference celebrating the Women's Caucus for Art (WCA) 40th anniversary. This is a tremendous opportunity to meet and network.
Together, we can make a difference in the world today. Together, we can share diverse connections and discuss our ideas at the Honoring Women's Rights conference and exhibition, and that could reach far beyond September 8, 2012.
The artists that are juried in to the exhibition use art to make honoring women's rights statements and call more attention to the challenges we face today.

We hope the conference and exhibition encourages young people to find their voices and talk about important interesting women's history." - Via Honoring Women's Rights

This "Honoring Women's Rights: Echoing Visual Voices Together" juried art exhibition is organized and presented by four WCA chapters: South Bay Area, Northern California, Peninsula, and Monterey Bay and the National Steinbeck Center.
